FB Diva Friday Chronicles
Back in August 2014, I started doing weekly shares of FB friend photos in an attempt to invoke a positive atmosphere in response to all the negativity that I’d seen scrolling on the FB Newsfeed. The first sharing was just for fun, but it received enough positive response that I continued the practice. The interest was a great outlet for me and it served the aforementioned purpose of getting a break from the daily grind of negatism. In October 2014, I started the FB Diva Friday Community. It’s a small community from which I am able to post daily updates of information of interest to community members. In December I started the FB Diva Friday Chronicles Blog with the idea of providing a platform for individuals to tell aspects of their personal lives that many of their friends on FB are not aware of. The first interview was on December 12, 2014 and Diva Chronicles has been going strong ever since. The key for me is that it provides guest interviewees with an opportunity to share what they do with an ever increasing reading audience. I’m always looking for more avenues to increase the reading audience, particularly with traffic streams that extend beyond FB servers, although there is an effort to maximize Chronicles’ FB marketing presence by posting to groups and sponsored ads. The short term goal is to continue to provide Diva Chronicles’ guest with a ready platform and substantial audience to support their efforts. The long-term goal is to develop FB Diva Chronicles into an impactful monetized entity that provides a weekly audience of 100,000 plus dedicated readers who readily support participating guest.
